Born Paine, Chile, 1998 · Lives and works in Santiago, Chile BIOGRAPHY Mara Faúndez is a Chilean visual artist whose paintings construct intimate narratives from everyday experiences, memory, and autobiography. Female figures often appear as shifting versions of the self, surrounded by familiar objects and fragments of text that function as secondary images within the composition. Her work explores desire, heartbreak, anxiety, identity, and sexuality through scenes where the familiar and the fantastical coexist. Saturated color and unexpected chromatic relationships shape the emotional atmosphere of her paintings. Faúndez holds a degree in Visual Arts from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has presented solo exhibitions in Chile and Miami, as well as work at international art fairs.
