Shifting Ground
Public Commission · Miami · 2026
Related
Shifting Ground evolved from Blue distance, an installative work first presented by Marisa Tellería in the 2024 exhibition The Emptiness That Is Not at Mahara+Co. From that initial presentation, Mahara+Co developed the project with the artist into a site-specific public commission for Related, extending the work from the gallery context into the architectural and public realm.
The commission marks the progression of a work first activated within the gallery’s exhibition program into the public realm, demonstrating how Mahara+Co develops artist relationships beyond the exhibition space and into architectural and site-specific contexts.
