Samuel Dominguez (Chile, based in London, UK)

Samuel Domínguez is a Chilean-born artist based in London whose interdisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, video, sound, and speculative world-building. His work examines the evolving relationship between technology, ecology, and systems of perception, constructing hybrid environments where organic and artificial forms coexist in states of transformation.

Domínguez studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Universidad Finis Terrae, and completed an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in London. His work has been exhibited internationally across Chile, Argentina, Peru, the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Croatia, and Germany. He has presented projects at institutions including the Museum of Visual Arts (MAVI) in Santiago, the Multimedia Cultural Centre in Split, and Ars Electronica Festival in collaboration with Fundación Mustakis and ALMA Observatory.
Working across installation, moving image, simulation, biological sculpture, and sound, Domínguez creates speculative ecosystems informed by cyborg theory, ecological collapse, machine agency, and post-natural futures. His projects often integrate organic matter, volcanic stone, electrical systems, real-time simulations, and audiovisual environments to blur distinctions between the living and the manufactured.

His recent solo exhibitions include Cyborg Botanies at Galería Patricia Ready (Santiago, 2025), What Happened After I Left at Mahara+Co (Miami, 2024), and Terrestres at Factoría Santa Rosa (Santiago, 2023). In 2025, he was awarded the Battersea Park Sculpture Award in London and was previously shortlisted for the Frieze Sculpture Commission at OWO London.
