Rocio Guerrero (Santiago de chile, 6 de abril de 1998)

In her work, Rocío addresses collective affectivity with invitations to share, listen, and be in the present moment. Through sculpture, installation, and performance, Rocío explores affective relationships and the meeting points between bodies and their surroundings, as well as the tensions that arise from living together. She also delves into ideas related to language, experience, and materiality. Rocío composes systems through poetic gestures that create tension between the body and language. Within these systems, she creates tools to establish different forms of communication—objects that, when activated, amplify the experience and help us understand and share realities.
Her work has been showcased in museums and galleries, including: NAC, Chile (2023), 205 Hudson Gallery (2021), New York; Vitrinalab (2020), Miami; Galería CCU (2019), Chile; Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (2018), Chile; YAP-CONSTRUCTO / MoMA PS1 (2014), Chile. Additionally, her work has been reviewed in Hyperallergic, Hauser & Wirth, and Terremoto, and is part of the collections of MAC Chile and NUMU-Fundación Engel.
